Make/Model- Lenovo Z570
Motherboard Part No- LZ57 MB
Processor Type-I3
Ram Type -DDRII
Problem –No power
Diagnosis- See Description
Process-
Laptop motherboard comes in with no power condition from banglore for repair..
Earlier diagonosis of technician …said that he has already done his homework ..and replaced almost every component on board …
I/ O controller
3.3 /5v regulator
Charging IC
Cpu steel mosfets
Vcore IC …
Nothing work out for him… he confirmed that it is PCH problem …and send the board to me to replace PCH…
Now my diagnosis ..
Checked 19v line … Found no issues with the Voltage
Found 3.3V and 5V ALWS present
3.3 v present on bios also
LID swith measures 2.6 V ..
Tried reprogram bios ….but No luck …
Tried to tried to trace out ..with physical verification ……. Found minor corrosion in the line of
RTC_AUX_S5 … (which actually led to a track cut to the PCH and R1918 and 1917)
Cleaned and Laid the Track …..
BINGO!!!!!
