in this case study
i am using dc supply to remove 19v line short circuit
in short circuit case dc power supply becomes handy to find the exact short component
to do the job set dc power supply to lower voltages like 0.5 or 1v...not more then that in dead short conditions
then inject voltages of dc supply to the short line
do not connect power adapter in this trick
after injecting voltages with dc power supply check motherboards components carefully for heating of a component
component which is short will start heating...

find the heating component

remove those components which are heating after & check ...shorting will be gone

attached is a sample case study with vin line or 19v short which was repaired with dc supply help

Directly inject 3.3v at 3.3v coil without attaching afapter.if any Component is heating.that means those component is faulty..this method for 3.3v shorting finding.
