Black Screen Asus x55vd

Hello to All,

The issue for my asus x55vd rev 3.1 with windows 8 is that you turn the laptop on, and the power lights come on, but nothing on the screen.. no post, nothing.. I can hear the hdd, and fan start but the screen stays black.
I have tried removing the battery and the bios battery, and discharging the power by holding power key for 30 seconds, and starting on mains, but no luck. I did reflow also the vga video replacing the old thermal paste with no luck.

I have read of some forums that it could be a corrupt bios so I downloaded the file bios.bin Asus X55VD Rev-3.1 but I hope somebody could help me how to flash the bios from usb booting up with a black screen.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix please?

Change your ram with good one.

Better you need a universal programmer to flash the bios chip.

Use following file to flash your bios.

I have already tried with different good memories ram having same issue.
I don't have a programmer to flash the bios. Is there a way to flash the bios using a USB pen drive?

Hello,

I bought a ch341a programmer to flash the bios with no luck having at the end same issue. I tried a couple times to turn the computer on but all of sudden it won’t even start anymore, no led lights no fan noise nothing no sign of life anymore. It seems completely dead.
Need help!!!
